Black Friday Books

Hey guys!

I went Black Friday shopping. It may be hectic in other stores, but at book stores it's very peaceful. There's just a larger amount of people there.

At first, I thought we were going to buy some food for lunch, but then I realized we were going to my favorite book store. Half Priced Books.

I bought :

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
The Genius Wars by Catherine Jinks
The Complete Winnie-the-Pooh by A.A. Milne
Hard Love by Ellen Wittlinger

I got "Stolen Sharpie Revolution" by Alex Wrekk in the mail from Amazon.

I finally broke down and bought TFiOS because I wanted to read it before it comes out as a movie. I know that somehow I will end up watching the movie and I didn't want to break down crying in the middle of the movie. I'd rather do that in the comfort of my home thank you. Shailene Woodley is playing Hazel while Augustus is being played by Ansel Elgort. I hope that the movie good because too many books are being trashed horribly by movies.

I'd read The Vampire Reformed Group by Catherine Jinks and I have the first two books of The Genius Trilogy. I didn't know it was a trilogy until I found the last book. Maybe it's a sign for me to finally finish the Trilogy?

I bought Winnie-The-Pooh because I never actually read the stories. I watched the series when I was a little girl, but I could never find the books. Now, I can finally close that chapter of my life.

I had a copy of Hard Love, but I never got it back after lending it to someone. Don't you hate it when people don't give back your books?

I had always wanted to make a zine, so I decided to get a copy of one of the most popular zine making books. I wanted the second edition, but I didn't have enough money to buy it off Amazon.

I hope that I will be able to finish these books and finally start reviewing something for you guys!

NaNoWriMo - The Day I Lost My Sanity and All I Can Think About is Food

Hey guys!

I haven't really been great at uploading my blogs, aren't I? I'm still in school, which means writing sometimes have to take a backseat in life. It makes me sad, but I have to put up with my priorities.

Translation: I failed at NaNoWriMo.

There. I said/typed it.

I didn't reach the word count of the month. Heck, I barely got past the first week without wanting to shot myself. It was a very stressing time.  I was trying to keep up with homework, writing, and making sure I wasn't going crazy. I succeeded in only one endeavor. At least half of it. I mean, I'm going into writing, I'm not going to use math as much right? I hope I didn't just jinxed myself.

Anyway, throughout the whole month, all I could think about was food. FOOD. I was dying this month because I didn't get as much candy into my tummy, which meant I had a tummy ache when I did eat candy. (Don't laugh at me using the word tummy-I like the word. It sounds nicer than stomach.) While I typed/write, I felt like my sanity was slowing draining out of me and into my novel. That was not good.

Though I did learn important lessons during the month, which include-but is not limited to:

1. Homework should be done right away. Don't put it off-it'll make concentrating on other stuff harder.
2. Always work in a quiet environment. Or get earplugs. 
3. Checking instagram and drooling over clothes will NOT help in writing a novel. Unless it involves fashion, models, clothing companies, etc. it will NOT help at all. 
4. Distractions are everywhere. Carry a hammer to break things that make you want to cry and rip out your hair that distract you from writing. Not your laptop though. That will take a while to replace. Not the Internet either. Other people use it. 

Those are only just a few lessons that I learned throughout November. Maybe next year I'll do better. Who knows!

NaNoWriMo 10/11

Hey guys!

I have written nothing in the past few days. NOTHING. I am disappointed in myself. I know I can do better, but sometimes Life gets in the way and I forget to write. Maybe later tonight I'll write something since I have just a few assignments to do.

Anyway, I have decided that I will put the places where I haunt in my About Me page. I like to dwell on lots of different websites so please check my About Me if you want to get to know me better or something.

NaNoWriMo Day 6/7/8/9?

Hey guys!

I've been busy the past few days. I had a chemistry test on Friday so I had to focus my energy into studying because that's one of the classes I'm struggling with. Now that I'm back on track, I'm going to try to reach the word count for today. If I can't there's always tomorrow. It's a good thing Monday is a day off.

Since I've been writing about random stuff, I might as well talk about something that I should've talked about before November started. Which is my NaNoWriMo Survival kit.

So here it is:

My NaNoWriMo Survival Kit:

Journal - Since I go to school, I need a journal to write when I get that sudden inspiration. Or to distract myself from doing school work.

Pencil - Not just any pencil. A magical pencil that helps when I write. I have found mine for this year, but I feel like I should change it.

Lead - I use a mechanical pencil and it would be horrible if I didn't have lead and I was writing an important scene. I'd cry in a corner.

Laptop - For checking onto the NaNoWriMo website and just being distracted in general.

That's it guys! Yup, it's a small list, but it's my first time doing NaNoWriMo so I'm still testing the waters.

NaNoWriMo Day 5

Hey guys!

I know I like to update really late, but that's when I have the most concentration when I'm writing. I also like to take naps which is why I always end up staying up late. I'm not sure what to write about right now.

Today was a struggle to write because I couldn't find a lot of inspiration for writing scenes. I finally barfed out something that resembled like a good scene and call it day. At least I reached the word count.

Next post I'll be talking about what my NaNoWriMo Survival Kit contains. If I have one since I'm just winging it since it's my first year as participant.

NaNoWriMo Day 4

Hey guys!

I'm currently struggling with getting the word count of 6,666. Yes, that is the word count. If you don't like it, then you should take it up with the math. It's always math's fault.

Anyway, today was the first time where I had to write during school. Since my significant other wasn't here today, I had to eat lunch in my math class. However, since I was to nervous to go the lunch line to get my lunch without someone, I decided to just write the entire lunch period and listen to my music.

What kind of music do I listen to?

I listen to all kinds of music, as long as it sparks some kind of inspirations for my NaNoWriMo novel, then I'll be listening to it.

In my novel, I have written a few significant scenes and I'm learning how my characters interact with each other. My novel went from dealing with depression and cutting to dealing with depression, cutting and LGBT. One of my characters decided to be gay/lesbian and confess their undying love to my main character. And then all hell broke lose. The characters had taken over the novel and I now have no control over them. My characters are going to decide what happens and I'm just suppose to tell the story. I feel slightly offended, but my characters reassured me that it'll be alright. My sanity is slowly getting lost as November goes on. Damn it NaNoWriMo! Look what you've done to me!

NaNoWriMo Day 2/3

Hi guys!

I know that I didn't write a post for day 2 of NaNoWriMo and the reason is...I had to write. Yes, I know. I should've been writing sooner and blah blah blah, but I usually write better at night which means I will suffer in the morning because of school. School my greatest enemy.

Anyway, I have written down a few key scenes in my novel that will impact how the storyline will go. I'm not really sure how I'm going to end my novel or what it's really about, but I know that I will try harder this year to finish NaNoWriMo. Even if I don't get the exact word count, I want to be able to say that I was close.

NaNoWriMo Day #1

Hey guys!

It's almost the end of the first day of NaNoWriMo and I only hav 1,422 words written. It's pretty good for a newbie like me, but I was hoping to hit the word count of 1,667. Oh well, at least I tried right? I don't know if I mentioned it, but remember when I said I'm going to make some vlogs? I lied. I'm too lazy to make videos where I have to talk in front of a camera, BUT I might just upload some videos using animations for NaNoWriMo. I think that would be better for me than showing my face. I'll show my face some day, but not today. Unless you follow me on Instagram. Then you already know what I look like.
